Flay Joins Primetime Competition Series, Battling it Out with Undefeated Team Leader Anne Burrell

Open Casting Underway For New Season, Slated to Premiere February 2012

NEW YORK – August 9, 2011 – Food Network, the leader in food and lifestyle entertainment, announced Bobby Flay is set to join the network’s primetime competition series Worst Cooks in America for the show’s third season, competing against the two-time series champion Anne Burrell. Worst Cooks in America pits two teams of the country’s most hopeless cooks, one led by Flay and the other by Burrell, against each other to transform from kitchen zeros to kitchen heroes – with the contestant with the best performance and progress awarded a $25,000 prize. Slated to premiere February 2012, Worst Cooks in America will begin production in November. Casting for season three contestants will begin later this month, with open calls slated for cities including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Houston and Minneapolis.
