My random thoughts…brought to you once a week!

  • I saw some guy go down the street on a unicycle.  And it wasn’t like “Hey, look at me…I’m on a unicycle every body.”  It was like “D@mn, I’m late to class.  I need to hurry up on my unicycle.”  Have you ever seen someone use a unicycle as a legitimate means of transportation?
  • If you had to rank Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman, and A Mighty Wind…in what order would they fall for you? If you’ve never heard of these movies, stop reading this blog.
  • Speaking of movies, have you ever seen How to Train a Dragon? Spectacular!
  • We went to check out the Chihuly exhibit (pictured above) here in Boston.  I spent $22 for my ticket.  His art is amazing, but at that price, you’d think someone would dust the sh*t off . Man, it was dirty!
  • I’m just gonna say it…I can’t stand really pregnant women in two-piece bikinis. Save the speech!  I know it’s a beautiful expression of blah blah blah.  I don’t care. It’s gross. There…I said it.
  • I found pho here in Boston!  And only a few blocks away.  If I find refried beans in a 20-mile radius, I’m never leaving this place.
  • One of my professional goals is to have a job that requires the use of a walkie-talkie. Seriously. They make you feel so important.
  • Spam Name of the Week: Alex Squashingroff
  • They should make an Entourage spinoff.  Just call it Jeremy Piven and the Next Group of Guys. It would work!

I rank them in the order you have them listed. Best in Show is brilliant.

By the way, Boston is awesome and I’m extremely jealous that you get to live there.

You won’ be jealous in February.

This is hilarious and walkie-talkies rock. Sort of like the secret service earbud and watch communication devices. Gotta get me one of those.
Mighty wind, waiting for guffman, best in show….. at least that’s my ranking tonight. May change tomorrow.

“If you’ve never heard of these movies, stop reading this blog.”

I’ve certainly never heard of The Mighty Wind.

Oh wait – you mean *A* Mighty Wind ;o)

A Mighty Wind in front for me, followed by Best in Show.

Tap still beats the lot tho.

You got me Farley…it’s been corrected:) You may be right about Tap. I put that movie in it’s own category.

My favorite Tap line: “The review for “Shark Sandwich” was merely a two word review which simply read “Shit Sandwich”.”

I agree with Mike, rank them in the order you have listed. As it’s listed in my FB profile, Best in Show is one of my favorite movies.

Tough choice, but, as of today, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind and then Waiting for Guffman.

“How tall are you?”

Guffman in third? I respect your opinion, but “I hate you and I hate your ass face.” 🙂

BTW…that’s the best line from Guffman.

1. Waiting for Guffman, 2. A Mighty Wind, 3. Best In Show. Waiting is probably my most favorite film, ever. Long live Corky St. Clair!

PS&BTW – Totally agree about the preggers in two-pieces. Totally freaks me out.

The Mighty Rib August 4, 2011 at 8:34 am

Thank goodness I’m not on an island with the preggers topic. And if I had to rank the movies, I agree: 1. Guffman 2. Mighty Wind 3. Best in Show

1. Best in Show 2. Waiting for Guffman 3. For Your Consideration (Catherine O’Hara is fantastic) 4. A Mighty Wind.
I am in the walkie-talkie circle at work – it’s great entertainment just to listen to the other people talk on their walkies…

The Mighty Rib August 5, 2011 at 1:39 pm

Lallee…I don’t know you…but I know you are very smart (you read this blog) and well traveled. I’m gonna pretend that “For Your Consideration” ranking never happened:)

One day, I too will be in a walkie-talkie circle. They just make you seem like a bad ass. Plus, you always look like you’re working with a walk-talkie in hand.

Lalleepop August 5, 2011 at 3:30 pm

Disagree! Catherine O’Hara actually does great acting in this film. This clip: http://youtu.be/0OyTmy8AwTw is funny – I got so much food, come on…anyway, I look forward to your unique randomness. And yeah, I do feel important when the little people at work ask to use my walkie talkie. haha.
