Ever wonder what other foodies are thinking? Me too!
1. What is the name of your blog? Fun and Fearless in Beantown
2. Could you describe your blog in one sentence? Although I write about different topics on my blog, a majority of my blog posts relate to food and maintaining a fun and fearless attitude about food – whether it is trying out new restaurants, dreaming up new recipes, participating in cooking classes, or just playing around in the kitchen.
3. How did you get into food blogging? My food blog initially started out as an online journal. People really responded to my posts about food and I really developed a passion for writing about it.
4. What’s the toughest part of writing about food? There isn’t really anything that is tough about writing food. But, more generally, it is hard to find time to fit it all in. While blogging isn’t a career for me, it definitely more than just a hobby. Blogging takes up a lot of time and effort, but I think it is well worth it!
5. What’s been your favorite food moment? It is hard to choose! I’d have to say that my most memorable dining experience was at Arrow’s in Ogunquit, Maine. In terms of cooking, I felt pretty accomplished when I finally made Gordon Hamersley’s roasted chicken!
6. Do you have a top restaurant? If so, what’s the name and is there an item you generally order? This is another tough question! I’ve been to Ten Tables at most of their locations and I absolutely adore their chocolate terrine with sea salt and Thai basil. I’m not even a huge chocolate lover but I have to order it every time! I also think you can never go wrong at the Four Seasons. The service is impeccable and their food never disappoints!
7. What’s one U.S. city you’d travel to just for the food? If you read my blog regularly, you know that I go to Portland, Maine any chance I can for their food. I’d have to say that I’d love to check out Chicago. They have such a wonderful food scene and I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve never been there before!
8. Is there a food you absolutely despise? Growing up in a Korean household, I was exposed to a lot of interesting foods. My attitude was always that you have to try it at least once. There isn’t a food that I really despise but I’m not the biggest fan of roasted red peppers, eel or food that is too salty!
9. What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever eaten? With no doubt in my mind, it was the Hell Pasta at East Coast Grill. It was insanely spicy and I’m not sure that I’ll ever do it again!
10. Are you more likely to stick with what you know, or do you try something new each time? You can’t be “fun and fearless” if you only stick to what you know! I definitely like trying something new. In fact, I have a list of thirty things I’d like to try before I turn thirty next year! I’m really enjoying working my way through my 30 by 30 list!

I share Michelle’s same mentality for food. I can’t tell you how many times something like this has happened…
Me: “Do you want a bite of my blood sausage.”
Friend: “No…that’s gross!”
Me: “Have you tried it before?”
Friend: “Well…no.”
