MooMoo’s Café and Gathering Place is true gem tucked away in cozy Sheridan, Arkansas. What cannot be overstated is the passion that owner Jennifer Spann has for her operation and the community.

As you enter the café, you will immediately notice the cohesive and well-orchestrated farm theme. Corrugated metal, fencing, and barnyard scenes, painted by local artists, work harmoniously to complete the look. After speaking with Jennifer, it is apparent that keeping things as local as possible is a priority.

Spann locally sources as much of her food as possible. Beef, eggs, and vegetables are bought from local vendors as available. Most recently, MooMoo’s has partnered with Loblolly Creamery out of Little Rock. Holding 13 flavors, Jennifer would like to have additional space for ice cream, as it has been very well received. During my visit, I witnessed local law enforcement stop in for a sorbet and coworkers share an ice cream flight. MooMoo’s also makes their own waffle cones.

While they offer daily specials, beef stroganoff on this particular day, I opted for a double cheeseburger with bacon. I paired my order with hand-cut fries and a side of ranch. When I found out the ranch was made in-house, I could not resist. The burger was great. You could definitely tell the meat was fresh ground and made to order. The fries were cooked to perfection, but the star of the show was the ranch. Being from Little Rock and understanding the ranch culture, it seems almost blasphemous to say, but MooMoo’s has the best ranch I have ever had in my life.

If you have the opportunity to visit MooMoo’s, you will not regret it. The food is great and Jennifer’s passion and energy is infectious.

This place is amazing with fresh made food every day is something to indulge in. I have enjoyed the food every time I have been there. The owner diffidently caters to the local companies because that helps families support themselves and their local community. I can’t say enough about this place and the owner.
