Rahm Fama at Houston's Little Bitty Burger Barn

A very special thank you to Mike (from Finding Balance) for scoring this quick interview!

Q&A with Rahm Fama, host of “Meat and Potatoes” on The Food Network, in town filming at Little Bitty Burger Barn

Mike: Can you tell me a little bit about the concept of the show?

Rahm: Well, it’s called Meat and Potatoes, but it’s not just about those things. It’s about how you pair meats with good sides, whether it’s a burger and fries or a steak and whatever else. Like today, we’re having the 5 Alarm burger and Texas toothpicks as a side. It’s all about taking a meat and a side and doing something delicious with it.

Mike: How did you find out about Little Bitty Burger Barn?

Rahm: The network creative department has scouts that look for new ideas all over the country. This episode is about spicy meat in Texas. So we came here for the 5 alarm burger, which I’m going to try. I’m not sure if I can do the whole thing – did you see the guy in the corner over there? He’s sweating all over.

Mike: Any other places you’re hitting up while in town?

Rahm: Well I don’t know that I can give you exact places because we like for it to remain a surprise. But one of the other places we’re hitting is for comfort food. And another one is for pork.
