We are constantly on the prowl for good products! This week, we go mobile.
This post is a little bitter sweet for me. I’ll be the first to admit…I’ve gotten somewhat addicted to the food truck scene here in Houston. I was looking for my fix last Friday, went on FB, and found the closest truck to my residence. Enter: H-Town StrEATS. The truck isn’t as glamorous as some of the others I’ve seen, but I could give a rat’s ass. If they food is great, the truck can be a complete sh*tbox for all I care. That’s not to say H-Town StrEATS was a sh*tbox, but you get my drift.
I tend to order a variety of offerings with my food truck visits. Now.. to the bitter part of the post–generally speaking, I was disappointed with the overall quality of food. But this isn’t a Restaurant Review. Those are for Mondays. This is a Food Find, and I’m very pleased to report that I did find one dish that certainly warrants a visit.
Hello Monte Cristo Balls! For $3, you get two delicious, mouthwatering, fried balls (sorry, too easy of a joke to pass up). Doughy on the outside, and filled with ham and gooey cheese on the inside–these balls are a perfect way to end any evening of going out. They also come with some sweet berry jam.

That looks so freakin’ good. I’m really glad I don’t own a personal deep fryer, because I would be trying to recreate this at 8 am.
Any idea if they’re kin to Schweaty Balls??
It was very hard not to include a reference of Schweaty Balls in the post. Stay tuned…Balls Week continues. I’ll have a magnificient ball recipe later today. Seriously.
