We are always on the prowl for great products!

Let’s dispense with the formalities.  This chocolate chip cannoli from Mike’s Pastry in Boston’s North End is the best dessert I’ve ever eaten.  Period.  No questions asked.  This is it.  I know my heavy use of superlatives can at times be down right ridiculous. But not this time around.

Last week, I tried a cannoli from a place on Hanover Street.  And it was pretty good.  But when I walked out and of the establishment, I noticed a line of people extending out the front door of Mike’s Pastry.

It took me all of one week to find my way back. But, no parking!   No worries.  My wife jumped out (no lines, 9am) and grabbed us a few sweet treats.  We returned to the casa…cannoli time!

Pretty ri-gosh-darn-diculous!  The slightly sweet ricotta filling was so smooth and rich.  The cheese was bursting out the ends, which were dipped in little chocolate chips.  The shell was light and crispy.  The combination of the filling, shell, and chips made each bite as memorable as the next.

And I think they ship!  You can even order them in counts of ten and construct your own.
