For Mike, it’s all about finding that perfect balance.

I’ve been doing this for a couple months now, and though I have some bad days, there’s no way I’m giving up. There’s too much riding on this. Which is where attitude comes in. I’ve made the choice to stay strong and remain focused.

I refuse to let setbacks bring me down. Which is why this week has been such a pleasant surprise for me. I started a “liver cleanse” this week, which has coincided with a 21day Fitness Challenge – essentially eating pre-packaged, healthy and non-processed ingredients. Let me just tell you, the liver cleanse cocktail tastes like utter crap. But it seems to be working.

This week, I’ve noticed a spike in energy. I’m not as tired during the day and I feel like I’m sleeping better. To top it off, with the meals I’ve been eating combined with exercise, I’ve lost 6 pounds in just a few days.

I’m seeing light and I know I’m on the right track. I just have to remember to keep my attitude and take a note from Karate Kid – “you’re the best around, nothing’s gonna ever keep you down”.

Hey Mike! Can’t say I know what exactly a “liver cleanse” is :-), but congrats on your progress!
