What!?! Is The Mighty Rib selling out?

A couple weeks ago, a representative contacted me from Easy Canvas Prints.  He wanted a review of his product.  In exchange, I would receive an 8 x10 in. canvas.  I emailed him back, “Thanks, but no thanks. I’m a food writer, not a canvas reviewer.”

The persistent fellow emailed back….with examples of other food writers who have taken part.

Done, I’m in.

But I had to justify the new venture.  This was about as far from food as The Mighty Rib could stretch.  We’ll get back to that in a second.

First, just what is Easy Canvas Prints?  Essentially, it’s a website where you can order custom canvas prints.

Back to my dilemma. To do this right, it had to be a photo of food.  And to make it even more right, I had to consult one of my trusted contributing writers.  Lyndi sent me a jpeg image of…what else…the mighty rib!!!

Back to Easy Canvas Prints.  Honestly, I’ve got nothing but great things to say about this product.  It’s easy, affordable, fast…and most importantly…great quality.  I could easily see this hanging on the wall, as a substitute for an expensive framed piece.

All you really need is a jpeg image.  Once on their website, the entire ordering process should only take you a few minutes.  After uploading your jpeg image, you’ll select size options, border thickness, etc.  It’s all very easy.  And the entire process (from ordering to receiving the package) took about 10 days.

Oh, and let us not forget…the price!  A standard 11 x 14 in. canvas will currently run you under $50 (free U.S. shipping).  That’s a fair price.  A custom frame job for a piece the same size would be no less than $100.

So, there you have it.  Thumbs up for Easy Canvas Prints.

Am I a sellout?  I hope not. Enjoy your canvas Lyndi and thank you for your hard work!

Thanks Kevin!

I’m pretty jazzed about this canvas photo. Thank you and thanks for all the super-nice compliments.
