As crazy as it is to believe, yes, we do have some excellent vegetarian options here in Little Rock. Here are a few of my favs…

Marinated Tofu Slider at Flyway Brewing

Here’s a little secret about me … I happen to really enjoy tofu. Flyway does this fantastic tofu slider that features a small slab of marinated, then grilled tofu that’s slapped between two mayo-slathered buns.

Bhel at Veggi Deli

A little sweet, a little spicy, and just a little tart, the Bhel at Veggi Deli is comprised mainly of potatoes, onions, and spices and topped with these crunchy noodles.

Beet Salad at The Fold

If you love beets, like I do, The Fold’s Beet Salad will definitely hit the spot. Beets, along with red onion and avocado, rest on a bed of romaine and arugula, and it’s all drizzled with a honey lime vinaigrette.

Garden Sandwich at Jimmy’s Serious Sandwich

This award-winning sandwich is fairly small in size but big and taste, and while I don’t consider it to be earth-shattering, it is a nice option for folks who work in the area. Swiss, cheddar, and Provolone cheese, along with mushrooms, sunflower seeds, and a spinach paté rest between two pieces of pumpernickel.

Spinach Pasta with Grilled Veggies at Milford Track

One of Little Rock’s few places that makes its own pasta–Milford Track–is a small deli located in the basement of a WLR office building. Choose from six, made-to-order pasta flavors and eight sauces and be sure to add the grilled veggies.

Saag Paneer at Star of India

I don’t think Star of India gets enough credit for the being one of our better restaurants in town, and one of my favorite dishes to order there is the spinach-based Saag Paneer. It also pairs wonderfully with an order of Chicken Tikka Masala.

Falafel Sandwich at Kebab House

Many of the falafel sandwiches I come across in Little Rock are pretty dry and unappealing. Not the one at Kebab House. The chickpea patties are wrapped in a flour tortilla and come with a deliciously spicy orange dipping sauce.

Hoppin’ John Veggie Burger at South on Main

A veggie burger had to be included on this list and the one at South on Main, comprised of a black eyed peas and rice patty, is one you need to check out if you haven’t already done so.

Eggplant Parm at Capeo

Capeo’s Eggplant Parm is a hearty portion of sliced eggplant which is lightly breaded, fried, and then baked with fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce.

Cheese Pizza at Deluca’s

Yes, putting pizza on this list is kind of cheating, but, hey, cheese pizza is vegetarian. Guess what? We all know by now that Deluca’s receives a ton of well-deserved press and glowing praise for its pizza, but the best one is still the plain cheese.

**Please note, I made an error to include kBird’s green papaya salad in this post, as I believe it contains a fish sauce. My apologies, it has been removed from this post.
