Last week, I was asked about cheap eats around Little Rock, so it inspired me to put together this post on dishes that are all under $8. Hope you enjoy…

Bacon Cheeseburger at K Hall & Sons

It’s not big a but the under $4 bacon cheeseburger at K Hall & Sons is quite tasty and an excellent value. You can’t even get a fast food burger for that price and this one is way better. Side note, do yourself a favor and call in any order so you don’t have to wait around.

Salad Supreme at U.S. Pizza

One of Little Rock’s most beloved dishes, the Salad Supreme at U.S. Pizza, is only about $7. It’s not glamorous or fancy, but it is a pile of lettuce with great toppings like chopped onions, green bell peppers, black olives, mushrooms, and turkey. And the Creamy Italian dressing is a  must.

Fast Lane at Chester’s Fried Chicken (inside Edwards Food Giant)

At under $4, the Fast Lane, which includes three fried chicken tenders, two massive potato wedges, and a dipping sauce, is easily the best deal in this post. Granted, if you’re eating this for lunch on a regular basis, it’s time to re-evaluate your diet. It’s completely unhealthy, but oh so tasty.

Ramen at Arkansas Heart Hospital

By now you’ve seen me write and post numerous times about Arkansas Heart Hospital’s $5 ramen. Heck, you’re probably sick of me always talking about it. It runs on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11am-2pm and is an absolute steal for that price. Each time is a different combination of ingredients.

Pasta/Sauce Combo at Milford Track

Just down the street from Arkansas Heart Hospital is the most underrated lunch spot in town…Milford Track. And it’s one of the very few places that actually makes its pasta from scratch. The best deal is the pasta/sauce combo. You can choose from any combination of six pastas and eight sauces. I recommend the spinach pasta with low-fat Alfredo. For a little extra, add the grilled veggies.

Lunch Combo at Chinese Kitchen

Listen, this is solid, cheap Chinese food. Nothing more, nothing less. It won’t win any “Best Of” awards but if you’re looking for a very fast, very inexpensive take-out lunch, you’d be hard-pressed to find many better options. I enjoy the Broccoli Chicken lunch combo, which comes with an egg roll and fried rice.

Weekday Lunch Special at Vino’s

You get a dinner salad, one slice of one-topping pizza, and a beverage for $6.45. Come on, that’s a no-brainer! If you work in the downtown area, this is a great option.

Chicken Shawarma Panini at Kebab House

This $7 panini consists of a tortilla filled with shaved chicken, pickles, tomatoes, and creamy garlic sauce. Simply put, it’s a damn tasty grilled sandwich on its own, but dipping each bite into the accompanying hot sauce brings this panini gyro to another level. Kebab House is very underrated, so please go check them out.
