My random thoughts…brought to you once a week!  And for the first time, we have a guest contributor to UR. Special thanks to Samantha!

He Said:

  • Here’s a few facts about my 2-year-old daughter: 1. She calls me Spicy Booty on a regular basis. 2. She always eats the entire strawberry (stem included). 3. Her greatest joy in life is pissing in a small singing toilet.
  • Whole grain pasta should be banished from existence.
  • At lunch on Sunday, my 7-year-old asked to have one of my raw oysters.
  • That Texans’ game was quite moving for me. Years…and I mean years…of suffering were all forgotten. I’ve complained about Kubiak often, but I was very happy for a good man.
  • Why are Verizon stores bigger than most restaurants in Boston? Do we really need all that space to buy a phone?
  • The Roast Beast in Boston is awesome! Doesn’t the place just sound awesome? “Hey Frank, wanna go to Roast Beast for lunch?” “Hell yeah!”
  • TBS got me…I’m officially addicted to The Big Bang Theory.

She Said:

  • The British term for being fired is “he/she was made redundant”. I find this amusing every time the BBC news anchors say it.
  • There is a company that makes something called “Souplements” to prevent dog dehydration. It is chicken and rice soup, in a pouch, for dogs.
  • Have you seen the commercial for the edible NFL decals you can melt on the center of your pizza? If you click on Pizzaprints.com, you can watch it! The world needs to know that these exist, despite the fact that they terrify me.
  • You can find curry leaves, galangal, and fruits you will not be able to identify at Russo’s in Watertown. Also, good prepared food. Except they close at 7pm. What type of self-respecting food market does that??
  • I don’t like fancy coffee beverages. The one exception is Diesel Cafe’s “Iced Mocha Chai”. It’s coffee, chocolate milk and chai in one cup, and if you can get over that mind blowing mash-up, it is mighty good.
  • I’ve been catching up on every single RadioLab from WNYC lately. You should probably listen to it. Don’t use that old-fangled “radio-device” anymore? Here’s a link to all of their archived podcasts.
  • I’m not one to make sweeping statements, but 16 year old boys in Charlestown really do swear as much as portrayed in esteemed films such as Good Will Hunting and The Town. I observed one riding on a children’s tricycle after another screaming “Give me back my f***ing phone, you f***ing f***.” And that was the polite part of the diatribe.
  • Turns out Boston has no Filiipino food. Grumble.
  • Hey NBA League Pass streaming – if I have to pay more for you, despite the fact that the season is shorter and your owners are jerks, you can at least work half of the time. But I’m glad you changed your time out music from that weird trippy techno last year.

I like that “Spicy Booty” – it has a good ring to it.

I’m hoping Spicy Booty sticks. It’s one of those nicknames that really has staying power.

2 year olds are just… they’re odd.

Isn’t Sheldon the best?! Husband caught a “Storage Wars” episode in North Carolina. We now have 23 recorded on our DVR because he set them to record… and there was a marathon of it yesterday. Lovely. Maybe I should take up knitting.

In regards to the PizzaPrint:
As the lady from Napoleon Dynamite said, “I want that.”

Man, that pizzaprint website is a pain in the ass to navigate. I’ll save anyone some time. Click on the “as seen on TV” link to order. They throw a bunch of crap in for extra S&H; I would advise against buying crap. Now I just need to know who has the best cheese pizza in Houston?
