My random thoughts…brought to you once a week!

  • Why do they include that disgusting broccoli with Sesame Chicken?
  • I love watching baseball.  I try to catch at least a few minutes of the game every night.  With my recent move,  I went from watching the worst team in baseball (Astros) to the best  (Red Sox).  Wow, is there a difference!
  • A note to parents with small children.  When you head to the park, can you please put more than a diaper on the kid? It’s not a good look.
  • It’s tough to beat a good piece of cheddar.
  • I made a cheese omelette for the 7-year-old. Me: “Why didn’t you eat the omelette?” Her: “I don’t know.” Me: “But I thought you liked omelettes.” Her: “I do. Well, I like everything but the eggs.”
  • Best part of Boston…the fish.  Worst part of Boston…no one says hello when you walk past them. No one. How do these people procreate?
  • Best spam name ever…Martin Vermont. Please take my money Martin Vermont.
  • Football is back!  Lucky me, I get to head to a sports bar each Sunday to watch the Texans go 6-10 again. And you know I will.
  • I watched Dinner with Schmucks the other night. Props to the directors…it was so bad, I couldn’t look away. Hey, whatever it takes.
  • If you could only live with one cuisine, which one would it be? I choose Vietnamese. I miss Houston’s fine restaurants.
  • Why is this bell famous?  If you get this, you’re better than good.

– Did you ever manage to try that red neck cheddar from the Houston Dairymaids? I’m obsessed with it. Best.Cheddar.EVER!

– Your 7 year old is adorable. Haha.

– I’m still so jealous your in Boston – as you know, I’m a sucker for that accent and though I don’t like sports, I can totally see myself getting into baseball purely for the Red Sox. And mostly the fans.

– My one cuisine? I’d have to pick Italian.

– And isn’t that the Liberty Bell? Although I don’t know about that orange wall in the background, or the fact that I don’t see a crack…so I don’t know? But the Liberty Bell is famous for freedom!

Had some great Italian the other night in the North End. Place called Rabia’s.

Not the Liberty Bell. This bell resides in Boston…and is more famous for the person who made it. Name that person…if you can.

It was made 210 years ago by Paul Revere…and will be on display at the Old South Meeting House. Hope you enjoy Boston!
