My random thoughts…brought to you once a week!
- $2 bills freak me out a little bit. Not like an actual phobia (is there such a thing). But the whole concept of the $2 bill is just weird. They just feel and look strange. I say this because I inevitably have a few around the house from random mail surveys and such. I know it’s strange, but I’m too embarrassed to spend them at places.
- Calm down people about these d@mn retired shuttles. We’ve got bigger things to be concerned about. How many of you have actually been to NASA anytime after your 13th birthday? That’s what I thought.
- Pet Peeve: Why are those Euro buttoned down shirts in style? I think they are Euro. You know…the ones that have the strap near the elbows, so you can tie up your rolled sleeves. Also, the ones along the top shoulder. Nice! I think anyone who wears those deserves an @ss kicking.
- The Oak Forest Libary is about to open…I think. Although, I’ve said that for the past five months.
- I’m still holding steady on my scrappy Astros prediction. I know they’ll suck, but at least they have a few young, interesting players to watch.
- What’s that a picture of? Hint: I’m lactose intolerant and one bite would send me to the latrines for a few days.
- Saw my first hard copy food article this week. (That’s called humble bragging. I usually despise this, but I seem to wear it well.)
- Worst thing I’ve eaten from a restaurant this year: Mardis Gras Grille’s crab fingers.
- I just did a piece on James Coney Island for HP. While in the drive-thru, I noticed a contest they were running—free JC Island for a year. After eating there once, I don’t want to go back for ten years, much less once a week.
