My random thoughts…brought to you once a week!

  • Do you ever eat the end pieces on a loaf of store-bought bread? If you do, you’re weird.
  • My 7-year-old wrote a brief list of things she wanted for Christmas from Santa. It read: “BOOTS and TITS”. She meant “tights”. Although, “Boots and Tits” sounds like a really good country western song.
  • I love Storage Wars. Could watch it all night, and in fact, this has happened many times. But have you seen the new spin-off…Storage Wars: Texas? It’s a heaping pile of manure, complete with….you guessed it…a guy named Bubba. F*ck A&E!
  • Pet Peeve: Guys who say, “Happy wife, happy life.” So annoying!
  • Congrats to the Texans! I’ve listened to just about every down of football online this year. It’s so nice to have a playoff team!
  • The NBA is so f-ed up…where do I even begin? Poor Rockets.
  • The holiday commercials are getting worse and worse each year. The jewelry ones are so sappy, but we’ve come to expect that. Subway continues to churn out shitty marketing, now with office grown-ups sounding like little children. And Golden Corral…PLEASE…stop adding crap to your buffet. One day, we’re gonna treat GC like we treat cigarette companies.
  • If you live anywhere near Brookline, MA—you know about the wonders of Clear Flour Bakery. Their chocolate chip cookie could win a national competition. But damn, opening at 9am on a Saturday? That’s ridiculous! I thought the whole thing about bakeries was being open at the butt-crack of dawn.

I don’t even *like* Storage Wars, but will sit there and watch it for hours. I even find myself getting annoyed at the commercials for taking so long…

GC and buffets are evil. Blech.

Ah, but you overlook the bread ends as a very good vehicle for thickly slathered Nutella or better yet some of that Biscoff Spread (which they are now selling at Trader Joe’s as “cookie butter”). Only the ends can stand up to such decadence.

Hilarious! Just this morning I used the end piece for my daughter. She had to have Nutella!

I love this weekly post! Ok- I just recently started watching Storage Wars too… and can also watch it for hours! I wasn’t impressed with the new one either.
