Special Feature
What can I say? I am loyal. This is from Amy…the first person to ever express a liking toward The Mighty Rib. In short, what Amy wants, Amy gets!

So, Johnny and I went to Milwaukee, WI for Easter weekend. Saturday we went to a ball game at Miller Park. The Astros beat the Brewers and we had a good time tailgating before hand. Easter morning, we used the Urbanspoon app to find a spot for breakfast. Comet Cafe came up as #1 or 2 in Milwaukee for breakfast/brunch. Further smart phone research indicated the following:

1. They’re menu has many vegetarian and vegan options and more that can be made vegetarian or vegan
2. They were at one point or another featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives (I will refrain from commenting on that show’s host’s obnoxious hair)
3. They have a sandwich called a Buttafucco
4. They appeared to be proud of the bacon they serve

Can I just say, it was AMAZING. The coffee was great. The atmosphere made both Johnny and me jealous that we don’t have a place like that in the Quad Cities. My bacon, green onion and cheese omelette with fresh pico de gallo was huge and I was sad that I couldn’t finish it all because it tasted so good. The picture attached doesn’t do my meal justice (plus it’s blurry). Johnny got the pancakes and couldn’t stop talking about how good their syrup was (found out it wasn’t home made but still loved it). I want to go back some time when we spend more than one night in town. Their Bloody Marys looked awesome and on Sundays you get free bacon with a drink purchase!
