“Unattended children will be given a shot of espresso and a free puppy.”

That’s one of the first things you see upon entering Lazy Pete’s. This place is one of my absolute favorites, and when people talk about nostalgia relating to food, Pete’s definitely is one of the first spots that pops into my mind. I first ate at Pete’s with my friends in high school, and we quickly made it a weekly thing.

Fast forward to our college years, when we are back from school over break, we try and get the band back together and go to Pete’s.

Anyways, let’s get to the food. Pete’s serves up some of the very best wings in the Arkansas. I firmly stand by that statement. They have a Lunch Special of ten wings and fries for around $11 (I added the celery sticks for extra, but it definitely completed the meal.). Normally, I just do ten mild, but this time around, I decided to mix it up and do half mild and half lemon pepper.

What makes these wings so good?

Just take a bite and get that little crunch mixed with a perfectly juicy, saucy wing. The lemon pepper wings really stood out, and the fries, as you might expect, were perfectly crispy.

Onion Rings

In the middle of my meal a man walked by with this enormous platter of onion rings. I had to try them, which proved to be a wise choice. Just look at them! Thick cut with a flaky coating that was crisp to a T, these rings are a must-order.

Overall, I highly recommend going to Lazy Pete’s for lunch and/or dinner. It will not disappoint.
