TMR is all for great causes…and this is one of them. Please support it! And check out the original post on Free Food Boston. Finally, please know you don’t have to be from Boston to take part.

From Free Food Boston:
Tomorrow is November, which means Thanksgiving, believe it or not, is right around the corner. And just in time for Thanksgiving, Community Servings is holding their annual Pie in the Sky fundraiser. Community Servings is a wonderful organization in Boston that delivers warm meals to critically ill individuals. Every year around Thanksgiving, they hold a pie sale to raise money. Groups of people sign up in teams to sell the pies. Each pie costs $25, which provides an entire week’s worth of hearty, home‐delivered meals to a person too ill to shop or cook for themselves. Plus, you get a delicious pie! The pies are made and donated by an impressive group of Boston restaurants, bakeries and farms that includes

Blue Frog Bakery
Chez Henri
Flour
Harvest
Henrietta’s Table
Mariposa Bakery
Petsi Pies
Rialto
Russell Orchards
Sofra
Tremont 647
and dozens more. You can view the full baker directory here.

I’m excited to be selling pies for the first time this year along with my fabulous team, the Boston Pie Hustlers. I would love if you would click on over to my page and buy a pie. In 2010 Pie in the Sky raised over $503,000 in support of Community Servings, and this year their goal is $525,000, which will provide tens of thousands of meals to their clients. The sale continues through November 19th. It’s a wonderful way to start off the holiday season and help provide for someone who may have less to be thankful for this year.

So go ahead and BUY A PIE!
