Each month, I’ll give you some quick hits on the ups and downs of my Little Rock eating experiences.

  • Here’s a great piece on the Little Rock food truck scene. I understand the conflict between these trucks and brick and mortar restaurants. There are many points to debate, but here’s the greatest argument for supporting these trucks: some of the best food I’ve had this month came from them. This includes the chicken and waffles from Hot ‘Lanta, the Philly cheese steak from Philly’s, and the clarice from The Food Truck.
  • Senor Tequila’s strawberry margarita tastes like frozen cough syrup. Terrible…and honestly, it doesn’t even have a strawberry flavor. On a more positive note, their chicken taco salad is excellent.
  • The absolute best thing I consumed this month was the Italian cream cake from Alley Oops. Not to be missed!
  • On your next visit to Ristorante Capeo, pass on the fried sage leaves and go with the stuffed eggplant instead.
  • My lunch at Ali Baba was a hit. I’m beginning to wonder if Little Rock’s signature food item is the gyro. And don’t pass on the falafel.
  • Vino’s…you are now my favorite place in Little Rock. Great beer, good food and music, and flat-screen tv’s galore—what more do you need in life? And you can go home with a growler full of 6 Bridges Cream Ale ($14).
  • My second favorite restaurant might be The Root Café. We are so fortunate to have a spot like this in Little Rock. They serve a mean breakfast, highlighted by those darn tasted biscuits. The pancakes ain’t too shabby either.
  • While David’s Burgers does a great job with their burgers, they do an even better job with the fry distribution.

It’s gonna be a gametime decision on the Beer Fest. I’m helping out with the Cornbread Fest the following morning, so you connect the dots.

You can’t miss me. I’m completely bald, have a red beard and sport brown-rimmed glasses.

BTW…still haven’t forgotten your bbq suggestion.

Hello to all, because I am genuinely keen of reading this website’s post to be updated on a regular basis. It consists of fastidious stuff.

It is that slightly creepy, Barbie doll whose legs sit inside the roll of toilet paper, her usually
crocheted skirt hiding the spare TP roll. Holidays are
when many of the presents are purchased and shared.

The oranges aren’t really suited to eating – it’s more like you are drinking
fruit than eating it, way too juicy.
