Ever wonder what other foodies are thinking? Me too!
1. What is the name of your blog? Eat.Live.Blog. and I am also the Founder and community manager of Boston Brunchers.
2. Could you describe your blog in one sentence? Anyone who knows me knows how much I love food, cooking and finding the best hidden gems throughout New England, my blog is me doing all of those things and more!
3. How did you get into food blogging? My undergrad degree is in Creative Writing, so I have always had an extreme interest in expressing myself through writing. 2 years ago, amidst the financial collapse, I made the difficult decision to leave career in Marketing, and thanks to a friend (and fellow food blogger, Lara of Good Cook Doris), I ended up working at BU and getting my Master’s Degree. The only thing missing was the creative outlet that marketing had given me. Seeing as food is a giant part of my life, my food blog was born!
4. What’s the toughest part of writing about food? Keeping up with it all! Working full time, spending quality time with my amazing boyfriend and pup, doing contract social media work, tweeting obsessively, getting a Master’s Degree, attending blogger events, setting up events and maintaing Boston Brunchers AND getting a few blog posts up a week is absolutely exhausting. Sometimes something has just got to give. There is just not enough hours in the day!
6. Do you have a top restaurant? If so, what’s the name and is there an item you generally order? Do I have to pick one? I am a huge ethnic food fan. Baraka, in Central Square, is a fabulous, hole-in-the-wall Algerian and Tunisian restaurant. Ariana in Allston is some of the best Afghani food around. Biltmore Bar & Grill in Newton Highlands will make you a slave to southern home-cooking with an edge. But I think my favorite restaurant, for reasons of flavor, quality and atmosphere, is Tangierino, a Moroccan restaurant in Charlestown.
8. Is there a food you absolutely despise? Gefilte fish, herring, sardines, anything in that family. This may be an odd choice, but growing up in a Jewish family these foods presented themselves quite often. Plus, I will eat just about anything else.
9. What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever eaten? I don’t even know. Like I said, I will eat just about anything so nothing seems THAT crazy. I am not a huge fan of innards though. So I guess I would say the craziest thing would be the time my uncle tricked me into eating tripe. I was 10. I have not eaten it again.
10. Are you more likely to stick with what you know, or do you try something new each time? Try something new! I will always choose trying a new restaurant, a new dish, a new product, new anything! It’s like being on a mini adventure every time you try something new!

Thanks for interviewing me today! I just realized you said food “city” and I responded with Vermont. Oh well! Why discriminate 🙂
