On Saturdays, we try out a recipe from a fellow food blogger from around the country. Check out Sarah’s Cucina Bella!

My new favorite spot in the world is here.  Russo’s has an amazing array of fruits and vegetables and meats and cheeses AND fresh ravioli.  If you’re a foodie in the Boston area, this place is a MUST stop.  I find myself there on a weekly basis, spending far too much money.  Russo’s isn’t cheap, but given the freshness of their products and overall selection, I’d say the prices are fair.

So, when I found this recipe…I decided to grab some ravioli from the store.  I was looking for a easy, somewhat healthy concoction and this Pasta Freca definitely hit the spot.

It’s comprised of simple ingredients (ravioli, olive oil, fresh basil, tomatoes, garlic, cheese, salt and pepper).  The sauce takes just a few minutes to prepare and the pre-made ravioli only need to boil for 4 minutes.

Followers of this blog know this recipe is right up my alley.  I love dishes that are easy to prepare, but look like they took hours to construct. The Pasta Fresca is a perfect weekday meal for the family.  It can even be jazzed up a bit (sprinkled Parm and chopped basil) and served at a dinner party as an appetizer.

And an added bonus…your house will smell great!
